Here’s What You Need
Bachelor's Degree Completion of a Occupational Therapy program is required
No experience required
1 year of acute care experience is strongly preferred.
OT - Occupational Therapist Texas Occupational Therapy License Upon Hire is required And
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly is required
Good verbal and written communication skills in English; Problem solving ability; Ability to teach others; Time management skills; Good interpersonal and customer service skills, Basic leadership skills.
What You Will Do
Performs age appropriate patient assessment and establishes plan of care
Demonstrates competence in the performance of age appropriate patient assessment and individualizes care based on age specific needs
Performs age appropriate patient treatment
Demonstrates Professional accountability
As required, participates appropriately in departmental safety drills / emergency procedures.
Performs Appropriate Documentation
Documents all aspects of assessment, plan of care, and re-certifications in accordance with departmental, TJC, Medicare, and otherapplicable regulatory guidelines
Documents and reports unusual occurrences, on the job injuries, and medical device malfunctioning
Participates in strategies to meet business initiatives and unit/team, program, and department specific goals and targets.
