Job Overview Coordinate and deliver materials to outside accounts, handle special orders, complete paperwork, inspect, and maintains equipment. Essential Functions Prioritize work, coordinate pick up and delivery schedules; ensure appropriate handling of special orders. Load and unload materials for delivery. Inspect and weigh material and complete billing tickets. Operate motor vehicles for pick up and delivery of materials and/or supplies. Communicate special needs or problems and serves as contact person to outside accounts. Maintain records as necessary. Inspect vehicle to ensure proper functioning, schedule maintenance, clean vehicle. May assign delivery routes to other delivery workers. May be responsible for recording of employee's time, vacation schedules and evaluating employees' work performance. Perform related duties based on departmental need. Required Education High School Diploma or GED Required Trainings/Certifications Valid driver's license with an acceptable record Required Experience Nine (9) months of experience in delivery of equipment and/or supplies Ability to read and write common vocabulary, read maps, and follow directions Ability to drive standard transmission vehicles of all sizes Physical Requirements/Work Environment Sitting - Often Hearing, listening - Often Standing - Often Walking - Often Bending - Often Stooping - Often Climbing stairs/ladders - Seldom Reaching overhead - Often Pulling, pushing - Often Lifting - up to 20 pounds - Often Lifting - up to 50 pounds - Often Lifting - over 50 pounds - Often Outdoor Environment: Employees work outdoors and may not be protected from weather conditions.
