Senior Manager Clinical Pricing and Payments

What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will manage and coordinate clinical budget and related pricing strategy services for Clinical Study Teams for the purpose of executing a Clinical Trial or Ancillary Services Agreements. You will provide senior level supervision, support and management of Clinical Payments Systems staff to ensure consistent and compliant payments to clinical sites globally.

Key responsibilities:

Primary liaison with Amgen and Vendor Information Systems (IS) teams to support system architecture

Ensure timely and accurate processing of monthly Accounts Payable Upload Files

Supervise and manage internal IS and tools to support Clinical Pricing and Payment processes including: Oracle database, Informatica ETL process, Spotfire Reports

Coordinate and manage study and site Payment Setup Tools and Global Budget Worksheet (GBW) Uploader

Conduct research and provide subject matter expertise and consult on payment system

Recruit, lead and develop staff and allocate appropriate resources for systems team workload

Build, maintain and provide metric and other department information to Global Development Operations (GDO) senior leadership

Drive the development of innovative and technical payment solutions and processes, and ensure adherence to Amgen’s quality standards

Contribute to and drive forward the strategic direction and functional goals

Oversee daily operations, including system validation, documentation, and compliance with payment configuration mappings

Continuously review and improve internal processes for efficiency, and develop training materials

Oversee quality control among staff, contract workers, and vendors

What we expect of you

We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. What we seek in you as an experienced professional, are these qualifications and skills:

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of relevant experience

Or

Master’s degree and 6 years of relevant experience

Or

Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of relevant experience

Or

Associate’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience

Or

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of relevant experience

In addition to meeting at least one of the above requirements, you must have a minimum of 2 years experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocation or resources. Your managerial experience may run concurrently with the required technical experience referenced above.

Preferred Qualifications:

Degree educated in Finance or Accounting related field

Previous clinical pricing and payment related experience

Previous experience in a financial support or contract administration role

Previous management experience of direct reports, including management level staff

Experience managing a team that works cross-functionally

Familiarity with general pharmaceutical industry guidelines

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.

The pay range for this role is $149,925.00-184,001.00 USD.
