GENERAL FUNCTION

This position is a key player in the organization who ensures all patients receive the highest quality optometric care by performing comprehensive clinical protocols while maximizing results, and the Private Practices' growth through strong partnership with the location's team members. This position delivers Key Performance Indicators, Standards of Care, and serves as a leading ambassador of the Practice inside and outside the organization, who is driven by passion and high standards to always go above and beyond. Develops and manages all optometrists within the location.

The Managing Optometrist will be an employee of the Private Practice affiliated with TeamVision, a brand of Luxottica. Luxottica operates the optical dispensary while the Professional Corporation Owner, a Doctor of Optometry affiliated with TeamVision (Luxottica) and/or Managing Optometrist operates the Doctor's office and provides high quality optometric care and service to patients.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCreate compelling vision for the future, develop clear goals and operating plans ensuring executional excellence and winning results in partnership with the store manager and field leader.Set and communicate clear objectives and expectations, demonstrate commitment to exceed results through strong competency in Key Performance Indicators management and high accountability for Associate OD's.Ensure Standard of Care is met as agreed upon by the private practice owner.Ensure the Practice is known as the leading optical provider within the community.Place the patient as the center focus and deliver excellent patient care.Lead and manage Associate OD's in providing unsurpassed patient excellence.Address all patient optical lifestyle needs.Build patients for life and become their sole family practitioner.Listen carefully to patients' questions or concerns.Provide a summary of patient overall eye health.Conduct service in accordance with protocol and accepted standard of care.Establish a positive doctor/patient relationship.Utilize and leverage all technology to deliver unsurpassed patient experience.Demonstrate effective communication with all office and retail teams to ensure a seamless patient experience and transition from exam lanes to retail floor.Maintain State Licensure and practices to the full scope of that license; maintain continuing education requirements.Provide effective on-the-job training and guidance to Associate OD's making use of provided programs. Contribute to a positive culture within the organization.Conduct chart audits with Associate Optometrist.Maintain working relationship with Practice Manager to meet KPI goals.Recruit, interview and select high caliber, success-oriented talent to fill Associate Optometrist openings.Forecast optometrist staffing needs based on available information. In partnership with Store Manager, assign team members through the use of the labor scheduling model. Quickly adjust staffing levels up or down to meet unexpected increases or decreases in traffic and patient demand.Maintain safe working environment for all.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
