Position Description:
Performs warehouse work related to shipment of products, parts, and materials. Merge and prepare parcels and LTL pallet load according to delivery or routing documents, or supervisor instructions. May operate a hand truck, forklift, or other heavy equipment as required.
Scope of Responsibilities:Work within an assigned area using RF scanners, accurately selecting and merging the appropriate products and materials according to location, product code, lot number, and quantity that is required to build the pallet to complete the customer order.Wrap, label, stage finished pallet loads.Void fill and manifest parcel orders.Create BOLs and other documentation as needed.Load pallets on trailers and secure loads.Report any discrepancies and/or damages to the Lead or Supervisor.Observe all safety guidelines; Inform Supervisor of any safety hazards; Attend all required safety training classes.Able to operate, after required training, forklifts and other material handling equipment as necessary to move materials while complying with all safety and operating rules.Responsible to understand and comply with all Company policies and procedures.Cleans, maintains and ensures proper housekeeping in the facility to meet and exceed GMP requirements.Responsible for additional projects and duties as assigned.Requirements/Preferences:
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).Able to interpret, understand, follow, and communicate instructions.Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written (read, write) clearly in English. Bi-Lingual (Spanish) a plus but not required.Flexible to work weekends and extended periods of time when needed.Be able to obtain certification (if required) for operating forklift equipment (Stock Picker, Reach Truck, Pallet Rider) within 90 days of starting.Able to lift up to 50 pounds.Able to perform basic math.Ability to work well with others and be a team member.Self confident with strong initiative, good organizational skills and excellent time management.Ideal attributes:
