DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

The Madison Clinic at Harborview

offers primary care and wraparound services for persons with HIV, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, race, or ability to pay. We also provide primary care to HIV-negative persons who might benefit from having an HIV expert involved in their medical care, including those who are interested in pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) for HIV prevention and counseling.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee day-to-day clinical activities, supervise clinical staff (RN2, LPN, MA staff), and provide direction to and coordination of the work of other clinical and support staff

Help in the planning and implementation of desired changes to improve the delivery of patient care and development of clinical support staff

Help develop, guide and oversee Quality Improvement initiatives in conjunction with administrative and physician leadership

Function as a competent Registered Nurse to provide safe and therapeutic care and coordination of services throughout the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation

Partner with the Assistant Nurse (RN) Manager for the Low Barrier Clinics in supporting operations at our off-site locations

REQUIREMENTS:

Active WA State or Multi-State RN License by start date

At least 2 years of acute care or outpatient nursing experience

At least one year of clinic and/or nursing management experience (including charge RN)
