About University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB(This is not a state position)University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB ("UEC") supports the university's educational mission by providing quality services that complement the instructional program. The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. We're responsible for business enterprises on campus including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects.Position SummaryTemporary, Part Time, Non-Benefitted position through 12/31/2024 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds, availability of work and satisfactory job performance).Salary:
$16.00-$19.00 per hour.Location:
Off campus. IEWBC Offices located in the cities of Riverside and San Bernardino.Work Schedule19 hours per week. Typically Monday through Friday within the hours of 8:00AM-5:00PM. Some evenings and weekends may be required.First Review Deadline
This position will remain open until filled.Typical ActivitiesUnder minimal supervision of the IEWBC Director, the Administrative Assistant will work independently to:Answer phones, route calls, and take messagesSet appointments for consultantsCall clients the day before their appointments to remind & confirm who they are seeing and the time and date of appointment.Check emails for online appointment requestsAssist with trainings, workshops and event planningUpdating mailing lists, internal staff databases, and statistical informationKeeps promotional materials ready and keeps inventory of stock, places orders and verifies receiptsAssist in execution of traditional or digital campaigns.Other duties as assigned.Some travel between sites may be required.
Minimum QualificationsEducation:
High school diploma.Experience:
One year of experience in general office clerical work, along with well-developed communicationskills and computer skills including Microsoft office suite and ability to quickly and accurately learn other electronic data bases and programs.
Other:Applicants must have good interpersonal and communication skills along with excellent customer service skills.
Applicants must be sensitive to the needs of a diverse client base.Applicants must possess a thorough knowledge of correct English grammar, spelling, punctuation, as well as knowledge of office methods, procedures, and practices.
Applicants must have the ability to follow directions, take initiative, be flexible, have the ability to multi-task and make decisions on a day-to-day basis, and be accountable for work performed.
Applicants must have the ability to work with diverse populations.
Must have the ability to temporarily telework initially upon hire.
Preferred QualificationsBilingual/Spanish strongly preferred.
