Weekend Night Shift: Fri-Sun 6PM-6AM (work 36 hours, get paid for 40 hours)Pay: $18/hrManufacturing Assembler Job Summary:Assembler 1 manufactures and assembles a variety of configurations of mechanical and basic electrical assemblies used in electrical distribution systems.Essential Functions:Read shop drawings and wiring diagramsRead Bills of Materials (BOMs) to determine component parts and assembly sequences of electromechanical unitsMake electrical connections according to specificationsAssemble parts, and position, align, and fasten assemblies, subassemblies, using hand tools and power tools.Modify parts by drilling, tapping, countersinking, etc. machine tools, power, and pneumatic hand tools.Position, align, and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly.Measure parts to determine tolerances, using tape measures and precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers.Attach labels and mark identifying information on parts.Adhere to all company policies, guidelines and practices including the SECRIT values.Additional Duties:Cross training to work in other functional department of the plantOther duties as assigned by management.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Tool selection - determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.Oral Comprehension - The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.Ability to operate cordless hand tools, power tools and pneumatic tools.Ability to read shop drawings and wiring diagrams preferred.Ability to read standard tape measure.Ability to work in a cohesive team environment.Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalentOne year of experience in manufacturing preferredWorking Conditions / Physical Requirements:Lifting: Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. occasionally; ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. often.Finger Dexterity: The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.Manual Dexterity: The ability to quickly move hand, hand together with arm, or two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.Arm-Hand Steadiness: The ability to keep hand and arm steady while moving arm or while holding arm and hand in one position.Vision: The ability to see details at a close range and have the ability to tell the difference in the colors of wires.EOE
