Primary Responsibilities
* Assembly of electrical components, subassemblies and final assemblies using bolts, soldering equipment
(wire cutting, stripping, and crimping)
* Adjust, repair, or replace electrical/electronic component parts and correct defects.
* Connection of wires/wire harnesses; prep and attachment of subassemblies
* Application of fasteners, decals/weather stripping
* Drill, tap, punch and cut/cutout holes in stainless steel and aluminum to mount panel and machine components*
* Measuring/marking/cutting/drilling/tapping
* Practice safe work habits, following safety guidelines, and support company safety initiatives
* Work closely with supervisors and engineers to resolve production problems.
* Inspect or test wiring installations, assemblies, and circuits for quality assurance.
* Sweeping, disposing of trash, maintaining clean/safe work area and support 5S initiatives
* Participation in training sessions
* Assist in training of coworkers
* Other duties as directed
Qualifications
* Experience in wiring and/or hi-pot stations
* Experience in electrical department and/or equivalent electrical assembly experience at another company
* Basic Mechanical aptitude; able to read measuring devices (rulers, tape measures, squares, levels, verniers and
formulas)
* Basic Math Skill
* Knowledge of hand tools
* Read and comprehend mechanical/electrical diagrams/prints/schematic drawings, work orders or reports to
determine materials requirements or assembly instructions
Education / Training
* High school diploma or equivalent
Essential Physical Requirements
* Ability to lift 50 pounds
* Ability to perform repetitive tasks involving long periods of standing/sitting, safe use of power tools.
* Must make us aware of any surgical implants, pins, braces or other devices that could be affected by induction fields.
