As the WNTO International Tax Manager, you’ll address, research, and consult on complex international income tax technical issues, specific to US businesses operating outside the US and Foreign business operating within the US for your variety of clients – all with the resources, environment and support to help you excel. You’ll collaborate with the WNTO leaders and staff and work closely with our Tax Business Lines on identifying risk management issues because together is how we succeed. From day one, you’ll be empowered by great technology, processes, and a collaborative and thoughtful team to continue to extend your technical knowledge, work across new projects, and provide excellent client service, and help you achieve more, confidently.

Your day-to-day may include:

Reviewing documentation and computations for projects such as GILTI calculations, E&P studies, transaction related analysis, etc.

Preparing memoranda and opinions regarding tax advice

Tracking new developments from Congress, Treasury, the IRS and the courts

Working with other specialty groups on issues that intersect with other technical matters such as corporate, transfer pricing and partnership tax

Supporting firm-wide and external training to enhance the knowledge of firm professionals and clients in cross-border matter

Developing tools that will be utilized by our firm to provide quality service to our clients

Other duties as assigned

You have the following technical skills and qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university

CPA,or JD required

LLM in Taxation preferred

Six years of international tax consulting experience at a major public accounting or law firm, with a preference for candidates with experience at a National Tax Office and/or IRS National office

Demonstrated success in tax technical work

Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel spreadsheet preparation and interpretation

Ability to manage and develop staff, in a highly interactive team environment

Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to travel as needed. Expect 10% travel

The base salary range for this position in the firms District of Columbia office only is between $142,600 to $213,800

The base salary range for this position in the firms New York-Manhattan office only is between $142,600 to $213,800

The base salary range for this position in the firms Los Angeles, CA office only is between $142,600 to $213,800

Benefits for internship positions: Grant Thornton interns are eligible to participate in the firm’s medical, dental and vision insurance programs and the firm’s employee assistance program.
