We're looking for a motivated Sr. Technical Program Manager who has proven experience managing multiple programs in a global environment across multiple technology platforms, ideally with competing priorities as well. The candidate will be responsible for managing programs/projects across the Human Resource technology stack and in deep partnership with Amazon's security organizations.

The candidate will have experience defining projects, collecting requirements, writing detailed functional and test specifications, coordinating efforts to scope, schedule, and deploy new features sets as well as analyzing cost/benefits and communicating results throughout the organization.
Key job responsibilities
- Assemble a project team, assign individual responsibilities, identify appropriate resources as needed, and develop schedules to ensure timely completion of assigned projects.
- Independently lead projects and deliver expert level solutions based on thorough analysis of business requirements, and work collaboratively across the organization to identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Understand the processes to define and deliver business technical solutions of A to Z applications.
- Assess the right balance of risk to allocate the right resources, remove bottlenecks, provide escalation management, balance the business needs versus technical constraints and encourage risk taking behavior to maximize business benefit.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop product requirements.
- Collaborate with technical teams to define the product with the best customer experience.
- Collaborate with technical security teams to ensure Amazon's security bar is upheld in delivered customer experiences.
- Drive the implementation and delivery of products.
- Clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to cross-functional project teams.
- Support and enhance existing products with thoughtful and measurable impact.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
