Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the same job summary elements listed within the Radiation Therapist I & II positions. The Radiation Therapist Lead will oversee the general care coordination needed for roughly 30 patients per day assigned to their unit. They will have scheduling and clinical oversight of their assigned treatment unit. Under the direction of the Radiation Oncology Manager, the Radiation Therapist Lead will be responsible for the personnel guidance of other the Radiation Therapist(s) on their team, resource maintenance, and care coordination between patients, staff and providers. Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an R.T. (T) in a progressive Radiation Oncology Department is required.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:
Bachelor of Science Degree from an ARRT Certified Radiation Therapy program is required. Staff hired into role prior to 1/1/21 who do not have a Bachelor's degree require a minimum of 5 years of previous Radiation Therapist experience.
LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:
Certified as a RT (T) Radiation Therapist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required.
