Job Purpose:
The Senior Financial Analyst will support all aspects of tax filings for our global markets within the Stock Plan/Retirement business under Shareworks by Client, focusing initially on the U.S. market. The role requires proficiency in proprietary software, Excel, and third-party tax programs, along with the ability to conduct jurisdictional research for new markets as Shareworks expands.
Primary Responsibilities: Review and ensure accuracy of 1099/1042-S reporting. Update Excel files for precise reporting values. Verify participant data accuracy. Obtain necessary approvals and document successful submissions per jurisdiction. Ensure timely and accurate tax filings and reporting for Corporate Clients and Shareworks. Review IRS and state filings for accuracy. Contribute to the annual tax production project plan to capture all relevant tasks throughout the year. Conduct thorough testing on tax forms issued from Shareworks to ensure accuracy through preliminary reviews. Manage special handling requirements for clients, including tax form amendments. Audit tax form generation to confirm completion for all clients. Provide proactive project updates to the Tax Manager to ensure the success of tax activities. Update processes and procedures in the policy portal as needed. Key Skills/Qualifications:
Familiarity with U.S. withholding and reporting for global employee share plan requirements. Self-motivated with a strong eagerness to learn. Excellent time management skills, especially under tight deadlines. Ability to proactively engage and collaborate with co-workers globally, fostering positive rapport as measured by feedback. Strong analytical, accurate, and problem-solving skills. Ability to vocalize and challenge business deficiencies identified during the tax production process. Effective verbal and written communication skills for swift issue resolution. Previous experience with employee share plans and tax production is advantageous. Comfortable with technology and adapting to a fast-paced, changing environment. Quick learner with a solid understanding of the internet, e-commerce, and equities. Commitment to team success, collaboration, and adaptability to continuous change. Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments concurrently, and excel as a self-starter in achieving professional goals.
