The Kroll's Financial Instruments and Technology practice is a leading solutions provider for asset managers, hedge funds, fund administrators, banks, insurers, private equity firms, commodity trading and investment firms, and corporations.Day-to-day responsibilities:
Developing deep technical strength in the valuation of CLOs and other structured securities, valuation theory, methodologies, applications, and fundamentals of constructing and reviewing valuation models and other financial models, including using DCF & market approaches, option models, monte-carlo, and other structured investment modelsReviewing investment memoranda, governing documents of structured investments, board of directors' presentations, and client modelsAssisting team in building and maintaining long-term client relationships through exceptional client service including a deep understanding of the client and their needs, exceptional responsiveness, and the delivery of the highest quality service and work product; including preparing information request lists, participating in face-to-face meetings, to gather data and information pertinent to the engagementDesigning financial models for discounted cash flow, market multiple, market transaction and option pricing analyses and presenting the analyses in an organized manner and/or using our standard formats and presentationsReporting and presenting analyses and conclusions including written reports, including assisting in the presentation of work products and conclusions internally to clientsAttending relevant industry events to broaden your knowledge and experience within the alternative asset industry
Essential traits:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics or MBAMinimum 1 year of constructing and reviewing valuation models and other financial models including: enterprise valuation using DCF & market approaches, and other structured investment modelsCredit analysis or structured securities experience is a plus: CLOs, CMBS, RMBS, etc., Intex or other toolsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skillsA fundamental understanding of financial valuation theory, methodologies, and applications with the ability to work through key assumptions, implicit caveats, and limitationsExcellent attention to detail, strong work ethic, and ability to managing multiple ongoing assignmentsKnowledge of software packages including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPointExcellent written and verbal communication skills that help represent diverse communitiesExperience working with diverse teams
