is seeking a
MFM Specialist for an open rank faculty position. Experienced and recently trained practitioners with a demonstrated commitment to clinical service, teaching, and scholarship are encouraged to apply.
The Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) Division is a leader in research, education and clinical care. Our internationally-recognized MFM faculty provide expertise in high-risk, complicated pregnancies. Our specialists are trained in the latest, cutting-edge procedures for the evaluation and treatments in maternal-fetal care. We are committed to training the next generation of MFM specialists and providing world-class clinical care.
The Division is actively involved in clinical research that translates into advances and improvements in clinical care. Duke's MFM specialists provide full spectrum MFM care, including prenatal care, fetal diagnostics, labor and delivery and postpartum care, in addition to consultative care. The Division serves as a center for the Maternal Fetal Medicine Units (MFMU) Network, funded through the NIH. They are nationally and internationally recognized for their multidisciplinary Placenta Accreta Spectrum program as well as their Pregnancy Heart Team. The Division also boasts national leaders in Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in Obstetric care.
The successful candidate will join 14 MFM specialists as well as genetic counselors and advanced practice providers who provide high risk pregnancy care at Duke Perinatal Consultants of Durham and Fetal Diagnostic Center, Duke Perinatal Consultants of Cary, and Duke Perinatal Consultants of Raleigh.
Duke Obstetrics and Gynecology is comprised of 12 clinical divisions, over 100 faculty members, 36 residents, 17 sub-specialty fellows, more than 60 advanced practice providers and 200 rotating medical students and physician assistant program students.
In addition to MFM, all major subspecialties are represented in the Department. Divisions within the department include Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, Gynecologic Oncology, Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery, Women's Community and Population Health and Generalists.
Candidates must have an MD/DO degree and have successfully completed an ACGME-accredited OB/GYN residency and MFM fellowship by the date of hire. Licensure by the North Carolina Medical Board will be required prior to commencement of employment. Rank, tenure status, and compensation are commensurate with training, experience and abilities.
