Job Summary:
Prairie Farms Dairy, Battle Creek operates as a dairy manufacturing plant and distribution center that covers the whole state of MI and some of the surrounding states. We make dairy products that are then distributed to retail outlets, warehouses, hospitals, correctional facilities, retirement homes, food service warehouses, schools and colleges throughout Michigan.
We are looking for strong customer service, self-motivated, career minded individuals to join our Oak Park, MI Distribution TEAM. This position will allow you to be home every night!
This location has Drivers that are part of a Union. it's an election option within first 90 days of hire.
Pay Rate: $29.30 per hour (Commission Eligible after 90 days)
Primary Responsibilities:
Load and unload Dairy products for customer deliveryDrive semi-truck or straight truck to assigned customers on routePush, pull or lift product from cases, pallets or bossiesPerform daily safety checks of vehicle and maintain a clean environmentWork within safety and regulatory company policiesKeep customers and truck inventory properly rotated and in stock at all timesBuild strong customer relationshipsFollow DOT requirementsFollows all company policies and procedures regarding GMPs, SOPs and Quality standardsEffectively utilize time available to achieve results through prioritizing demandsMaintains an air of professionalism and communicates effectivelyDemonstrates problem solving and decision making ability, as neededMust demonstrate proficiency in essential tasks of the job and a willingness to learnOther duties as assigned or requiredMinimum Qualifications:
Must have a CDL Class A or BMust have at least 1 year of driving experienceCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: CDL Class A
