These projects include building supply chain solutions that are customized for large and heavy items. We need leaders who are capable of breaking down and solving complex problems for the benefit of our quickly expanding customer base.
The Senior Financial Anlayst - AMXL will be part of a team focused on Fulfillment operations, where the team has functional responsibilities split between Fixed, Variable, Launch, & 3PL functions. Within this functional support structure, the Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for supporting Outbound Variable Cost and related productivity metrics.
We seek a strong leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly, and consistently deliver results. You must have the capability to create and present whitepapers for senior executives, and align roadmaps with Amazon’s strategic objectives. A key to influencing stakeholders is to have the ability to solve complex, technical problems with simple, innovative and practical solutions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. You will leverage your education and work experience to lead initiatives to streamline planning/reporting, decide on investments, drive efficiency initiatives, and pursue customer experience benefits in AMXL to drive P&L (Profit & Loss) benefits. The role requires an individual who is willing to work in an ambiguous environment and make a big impact. The successful candidate will have a passion for providing data-based decision making. You continuously look for areas of improvement, and implement automation in order to reduce your manual work load to focus on delivering insights into the business.
Key job responsibilities
Autonomously partner with multiple stakeholders such as Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to plan for and ensure attainment of productivity goals
Own the variable cost forecast, which includes understanding and developing forecast timing methodologies
Lead variance analysis and provide consolidated narratives for monthly/quarterly business reviews
Leverage financial knowledge and business acumen to execute ad-hoc projects and analysis, draw conclusions, and present recommendations with little guidance
Provide performance reporting with detailed insights and suggested actions
Partner with AMXL Supply Chain to analyze current and future opportunities
A day in the life
You'll travel to AMXL FC sites, collaborate with site leaders, partner with your multi-site leader (MSL) to solve challenging problems, and also own and drive projects that impact the entire AMXL FC network.
About the team
The team of 19 includes an AMXL FC variable cost and productivity team, an AMXL FC fixed cost owner, and a leader of AMXL Sort Centers, IXD's (Inbound Cross Docks), and Inbound Strategy. This role sits on the variable cost and productivity team and will be regularly interacting with site leaders and operations managers of sites within its region.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience
Preferred Qualifications
MBA
Experience in identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
