Essential Functions and Primary Duties
Performance of preliminary valuation, forensic, and appraisal analyses, including the development of comparative adjusted financial statements and data input for expert witness exhibitsGain an understanding of accounting framework, tax law, and audit methodologies and their applicability to the litigation environmentDevelop knowledge of the relevant statutory and family codes and their applicability to accounting principles in the performance of forensic accountingParticipate in client assignments from beginning to endCreate forensic and economic models for the presentation of forensic conclusionsExecute complex technological procedures within industry-standard accounting systemsIdentify and communicate case issues, findings, and improvement opportunities with senior associates, managers, and partners to resolve client issues discovered during engagementsWork with the discovery team to inventory and reconcile documents and data produced in preparation for submission to courts, attorneys, and clientsAssist in the preparation of exhibits and background information for expert witness testimonyMaintain and comply with the highest degree of professional standards, client confidentiality and personal conduct
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation or related field preferredCPA eligible; desire to obtain certification is requiredInternship experience in accounting or related field preferredExcellent interpersonal, analytical, research and tax project management skills, including basic knowledge of GAAP, Taxation compliance, codes and regulationsAbility to multi-task, think independently and problem solve in a results driven team oriented environmentStrong verbal and written communications skills
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree requiredCPA eligible; desire to obtain certification is requiredExcellent interpersonal, analytical, research and project management skillsDemonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization, both internally and externallyAbility to multi-task, think independently and problem solve in a results-driven team-oriented environmentStrong verbal and written communications skillsStrong computer and technical skills including, Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, intranet and softwareMust be able to travel based on client and business needs
Pay Transparency:
The annual salary target for this job in this market is $72,000 - $76,000. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on education, experience and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
