Contract Analyst
is responsible for managing accounting operations for government and foundation funded programs, ensuring grant and contract compliance, and providing reports and solutions to benefit agency operations.QualificationsBachelor's degree in finance or accounting requiredMinimum of two years' experience in accounting, reporting, and analysisAdvanced knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting PrinciplesStrong analytical and quantitative skillsStellar Microsoft Excel skills requiredSelf-starter with ability to independently identify problems, and establish solutionsStrong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skillsProficiency in computer programs including Microsoft Excel and Word, and accounting software (Accufund preferred)Culturally sensitive and able to work with a multicultural client/customer population; ability to work in a non-judgmental manner and foster positive growth/outcomes; able to work as part of a team and maintain professional boundaries.Responsibilities/ Essential FunctionsRead and gain thorough understanding of and expertise on assigned grants and contractsEnsure programmatic, administrative, and fiscal compliance of assigned grants and contractsStay abreast of changes in grants and contracts, ensure changes are implemented timelyMaximize reimbursement of grants and contracts via timely invoicing, analysis and budget modifications;Take a holistic approach to managing programsWork with and provide comprehensive financial reporting to program staff and managementProvide variance analysis reporting, create financial system reporting solutions, initiate corrective action and adjustments, track activities, forecast, etc.Engage in the budgeting process, prepare RFPs, and contract renewalsProvide all necessary support for programmatic, fiscal, and administrative auditsMaintain thorough records for all journal entries for grants and contracts, and maintain and establish internal controlsSupport Manager with A-133 single audit by preparing all requested records and responding to all auditors' requestsProduce ad hoc reports as needed as well as perform other special duties and projectsJewish Family Service is proud to provide equal employment opportunities to all employees and qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national or ethnic origin, age, disability or status as a veteran.*cb
