Position Summary This position requires a dependable and efficient CDL truck driver. Must be organized, detailed oriented, and comfortable working independently. A clean driving record and commercial driving experience is a must.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned vehiclePick up and safely transport goods to intended destinationEnsure contents are properly secured in truck/flatbed to prevent damage/injuryObtain signatures to confirm and complete deliveriesAssist in mapping driving routesStay on predetermined route to ensure timely transport and deliveryCommunicate with dispatch as neededConfirm that the contents of each shipment load matches the manifest documentPerform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each tripCheck weather conditions and road reports before departureAlways ensure your vehicle is kept cleanMaintain and service vehicle as needed (refuel, change oil, tire pressure, repairs, etc.)Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encounteredFollow delivery schedule and rest at appropriate timesMaintain detailed driving and delivery logsTrack and report working hoursAdhere to company rules and regulationsObey all applicable traffic laws and drive in according to the weather/road conditionsMake safety a priority at all timesAlert, focused, and detailed-orientedPhysically and mentally fit with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time

Education/Training

High school diploma or equivalent preferredValid commercial driver's license (CDL); class B required2 + years proven experience in commercial truck driving preferredClean driving record with no moving violationSkilled at driving and parking large, heavy vehiclesProficient using GPS and other routing systems

Qualification/Requirement

Must show proof of your legal right to work in the United StatesThis position requires US Citizenship due to security clearance required for base accessMust be able to successfully obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)Must be able to successfully obtain a Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) Credential to gain access to federally controlled work sitesAll candidates must submit to and pass a post-offer drug screening, physical test,and a background check before employment begins.Failure to complete any of these steps will result in disqualificationValid State of Hawaii drivers license in good standing, class B requiredCandidates must have access to reliable transportation to get to work and other job sites on time for the start of shiftMust be flexible in work hours
