Overview
Kimley-Horn is looking for Engineering or Planning graduates to join our Oakland, CA office in 2025! This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will work with our Multi-Modal Transportation team performing a variety of transportation-related planning and conceptual design tasks including transportation analyses, complete streets studies, mobility analyses, and transit analyses, and development of public outreach materials and strategies.
Interest and ability to obtain P.E.,T.E. in the state of CA or become an AICP
Exposure to preparingtechnical materials such as transit analyses,traffic studies,parking studies, complete streets assessments, safety studies,multi-modal planning,site circulation and access studies, and other various transportation planning and design activities.
Demonstrated experienceworking on a team.
ProficiencyinGIS and Excel
Exposure to Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign,Synchro/SimTraffic, Vistro, VISSIM,Sidra,AutoCAD, and/or other traffic and engineering software desired.
Strong written and oral communication skills
Qualifications
An ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) by Summer 2025 in one of the following majors:
Civil and/or Environmental Engineering
Engineering Technology
Or a Planning Degree (Bachelors or Masters) from an accredited program by Summer of 2025 in these majors:
City and Regional Planning
Urban Planning
Transportation Planning
Or Other Related Major
Salary Range: $90,000 - 101,500
