You will work closely with the VP of Product Management, Life Sciences and be accountable for helping to guide the future of key areas of the Life Sciences Cloud product portfolio. This requires engaging customers, driving strategy, and defining roadmap. You will also partner with engineering and UX to deliver and guide the execution of deliverables to realize the business impact.
The role is highly cross-functional and requires a candidate that enjoys navigating ambiguity, working in a fast-paced startup like environment, aligning stakeholders, collaborating with teams across time-zones and thinking globally. This individual is expected to work with senior level customer stakeholders to drive adoption.
This is a hybrid work environment requiring a minimum of 36 days per quarter in the New York City office to support their customers and/or collaborate with their teams.
ResponsibilitiesContribute to the definition and execution of a cohesive product roadmap. This includes: market needs, product vision and strategy, roadmap creation and communication, release planning, requirements gathering, functional specification all the way through to customer enablement and success.
RoadmapBuild a vision, roadmap and strategy for Life Sciences Cloud and evangelize it with our customers, partners and employees. Use market analysis, competitive knowledge, and customer research to define product roadmap. Synthesize the needs across Industries to build common components that can act as multiplier across different Industries.
Product ExecutionWork with our San Francisco and India product teams to deliver 3 releases a yearWork with the global engineering and UX teams to effectively meet product deliverables. Collaborate with other Salesforce Clouds (e.g., Sales Cloud, Service Cloud) and partners within the Industries product team to collaborate on roadmaps and build cross product capabilities and work through dependencies to ensure innovation built elsewhere is leveraged. Work with Adoption PMs on the successful adoption of product capabilities
Customer engagementEngage directly with customers during pre-sales and post-sales implementations to ensure the product will help them reach their desired business outcomes.Present product and roadmap to customer executives in our world-class Salesforce Innovation Center. Drive Product Advisory Councils in key regions globally.
Platform and Ecosystem ApproachEngage with our partner ecosystem to find opportunities to partner on augmenting or extending our product capabilities.
QualificationsEquivalent of 10+ years of product management or similar experience
5+ years of experience of building, implementing, developing applications on the salesforce.com platform
High energy and passion for the job
Leadership DNA, proven ability to excite, motivate, and lead cross-functional teams
Experience leading and working with teams internationally
Deep proven experience of customer engagement processes in Life Sciences
Expertise building industry specific solutions and/or selling industry specific solutions to businesses
Experience in working in fast-paced startup environments
Strong organizational and analytical skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, including experience in high-level business discussions
Ability to lead with Salesforce values and culture
Execute with grace under pressure and sense of humor and camaraderie
Outstanding interpersonal skills that span across various cultures and professional backgrounds
Experience building trust across cross functional teams
Exceptional leadership capabilities
Flexibility to travel to meet the needs of our customers (nationally and internationally)
