Job Overview:
As the Vice President of HOA Operations, you will lead, mentor and guide a talented and dedicated team, cultivating an environment that prioritizes client and associate satisfaction. Compensation: $110,000+ annually, depending on experience
FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
Your Responsibilities:
Leadership: Provide guidance, support and mentorship to team members, fostering their professional growth and development within the organizationFinancial Management: Collaborate with boards and internal finance team to develop and manage budgets, review financial reports, approve expenditures and make financial decisions in the best interest of the communityFinancial Goals: Oversee and manage the regional financial operations, ensuring effective financial planning, budgeting and execution to achieve set targets and goalsBoard Support: Assist the HOA board in setting goals, developing strategies and making informed decisionsRisk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks to the company and the communityLong-Term Planning: Assist with long-term planning, such as reserve fund allocation, capital improvement projects and community development strategiesLegislative Awareness: Stay informed about changes in local, state or federal laws that may impact HOA operations and advising the board accordinglyRecruiting and Hiring: Recruit, hire and train team members, ensuring the acquisition of relevant skill sets and qualities to support the business operationsSuccession Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive succession plan to ensure continuity and stability within leadership and key operational rolesTeamwork and Collaboration: Foster a collaborative relationship with the Market President and other colleagues within the industry to exchange insights and best practices that can benefit operations.Meetings: Attend board meetings, committee meetings and other relevant meetings and gatherings to actively participate in decision-making processes and provide valuable inputBusiness Development: Participate in business development activities including attendance at local trade shows, industry events, opportunities with vendors that allow for networking and solicitation of new businessSales: Support sales efforts to gain new business including supporting and/or delivering sales presentations to potential clientsOther duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
Leadership: Guiding and inspiring the teamRelationship Building: Forming strong connections with clients and associatesCommunication: Effective verbal and written skillsJudgment: Demonstrates sound decision-making and critical thinkingProblem-Solving: Finding creative solutionsProficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Training: Skilled in training and mentoring individuals to enhance their knowledge and capabilities
Education and Experience:
10+ years of successful management and supervisory experienceA college degree preferred or equivalent experience in ManagementCMCA (Certified Manager of Community Associations) or PCAM (Professional Community Association Manager) designation preferred
Physical Requirements:
Most work will be performed in a typical office setting
Supervisory Responsibility: Yes
Work Location: 9000 E Pima Center Pkwy, Suite 300, Scottsdale, AZ 85258
Service Area: West Valley (Peoria, Surprise, Glendale, Goodyear, etc.)
Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm, evenings and weekends as needed for events and meetings
Travel Requirements: A valid Arizona Driver's License and State Mandated Vehicle Insurance is required. Must be willing and able to attend meetings and events during the evening. Travel to other offices/sites likely to occur
