General Summary of Position
We are actively recruiting for a Clinical Supervisor, Pharmacy Services to join our team at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC.
The Pharmacy Supervisor provides direct daily supervision of pharmacy operations to achieve optimal integration of distributive and patient care activities. The Pharmacy Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Manager/Director in implementing and monitoring programs, personnel, budget and finance, compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, with MedStar policies and procedures, and with professional society standards (ASHP, USP, TJC, State BOP, etc.) and guidelines. Also, this position is responsible for providing pharmacy services to patients and staff including interpretation of physician orders, preparation and dispensing of medications and IV solutions.
\rMinimum Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree Graduate training in an accredited College of Pharmacy requiredDoctoral degree PharmD preferred
\rExperience
3-4 years Clinical and/or operational experience in hospital setting requiredLeadership experience preferred
\rLicenses and Certifications
PHARMD - Licensed Pharmacist in the District of Columbia or eligibility for reciprocity required
\rKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to communicate effectively with all internal and external customers.Moderate Computer skills to perform prescription entries.Experience with computerized Pharmacy information systemsHIPAA policies on Confidentiality
