Overview
The Regulatory Reporting Group is primarily responsible for timely submission of the Loan Application Registers (LARs) and subsequent analyses following the annual filing. The Regulatory Reporting Group is also responsible for the data integrity used for Fair Lending analysis.Under the direction of the Regulatory Reporting Compliance Mgr., the Sr. Regulatory Reporting Analyst is responsible for analyzing data validity and accuracy for timely LAR(s) submission by assisting with guiding a team of Regulatory Reporting Analysts and interacting with the first line through a periodic monitoring process. The Regulatory Reporting Compliance Mgr. will be responsible for submission of the LAR.The Sr. Regulatory Reporting Analyst will report to the Regulatory Reporting Compliance Mgr. and will work closely with the Lines of Business, IT, Compliance, Legal, and other risk partners in the development and execution of the Fair and Responsible Banking program related to Regulatory Reporting. The role is fully remote and requires knowledge of Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Fair Lending Laws, submission requirements, and quantitative and qualitative analysis.Responsibilities
Reporting, Analysis, and Monitoring:
Under the direction of the Regulatory Reporting Compliance Mgr., execute analysis and monitoring procedures designed to detect reporting data inaccuracies.Perform quantitative and qualitative data analysis following submission.Coordinate and perform data integrity reviews of the LAR(s) to determine if the line of business is in compliance and recommend to management any corrective actions needed to maintain the LAR(s) accuracy.Create accurate, logical work papers that clearly describe the work performed, the results of testing, and analysis.Identify gaps and recommend new and/or revised policies and procedures, and monitoring methods.Evaluate any deficiencies found to determine the root cause(s) with applicable management and assist with any necessary corrective actions.Training:
Assist with training delivery as needed.
Regulatory Changes:
Work in conjunction with the Regulatory Reporting Compliance Mgr., business line management, and IT with incorporating any regulatory change(s) impacting regulatory reporting.
Consulting:
Coordinate research, responses and documentation regarding LAR issues arising from regulatory agencies.Provide back-up for other Regulatory Reporting Analyst(s) as needed.Handle special projects assigned by the Regulatory Reporting Compliance Mgr..Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
4-year college degree with 3+ years related work experience, preferably in regulatory reporting (HMDA/CRA LAR) in a midsize or large bank environment. Or 4+ years of related experience, preferably in regulatory reporting for (HMDA/CRA LAR) in a midsize or large bank environment.Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate the ability to provide written reports that accurately and clearly summarize issues and present solutions in an understandable and logical manner.Ability to validate and interpret data.Advanced Computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Office products)Excellent time management skills, well-organized and dependableAbility to work independently and as a team for collaboration when needed.Ability to exercise sound judgment and work independently while balancing multiple prioritiesAdvanced attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to deadlinesCritical thinking and analytical skills to identify root causes of deficienciesAdvanced decision making and problem-solving skillsPreferred in-depth knowledge of HMDA data collection, integrity, and submission.Perferred in-depth knowledge of federal and state banking laws and regulationsPreferred in-depth knowledge of the operation of loan underwriting and servicing systems or specialized regulatory reporting applications such as Lending Patterns, Risk Exec, nCino, or other related applications.Preferred Certified Regulatory Compliance Mgr. (CRCM) or other related certification.
