In this job, you’ll be responsible for leading financial analysis to support strategic decisions being considered at SCE’s corporate and operating unit levels and supporting Capital Governance activities. You will interact independently with stakeholders across the company to drive decisions and analysis to support business cases. Routinely present recommendations to division VP and CFO as required. You will be expected to apply strong technical knowledge to challenge business case assumptions to work towards the best solution. In addition, you will also lead Capital Governance activities including providing consultation on capital governance matters, leading new or updated capital governance guidelines, processes, and protocols, and supporting capital governance health assessments.

Responsibilities
Project manages efforts and coordinate and ensure the appropriate involvement from various subject matter experts and support organizations for the Operating Unit or enterprise
Conducts ad hoc analysis supporting either the financial planning or strategic analysis workstreams, as needed
Leads the development and validation of complex financial models. Validates others' models and ensures accuracy and integrity of results
Reviews spending projections and derives utility revenue requirements and related analyses
Assesses ongoing capital project business cases, and assists in providing recommendations for funding approval to relevant stakeholder by assessing capital structures, and performing cost of capital calculations
Provides leadership on cross-functional teams on planning activities that have significant financial impact or risk to the Operating Unit or enterprise
Delivers financial advisory support to the business including analysis of potential investments, mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures
Contributes to the implementation of risk management and internal controls processes that comply with accounting, organizational, and regulatory policies
Develops cross functional relationships and interact with leaders across the company to provide guidance and lead the financial evaluation and development of business cases for capital projects and programs
Identifies and implements ways to improve working processes within the area of responsibility and communicate issues and areas for improvement to enterprise managers
A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
Seven or more years of experience in financial planning, modeling and/or forecasting.
The Preferred
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or related technical field.
Experience with regulated utility finance.
Completion of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Program exam I, II or III, or AFP FP&A Certification.
Experience developing, validating, and communicating statistical, financial, and valuation test models, assessing capital structures, and performing cost of capital calculations, as well as ensuring the accuracy and integrity of findings and recommendations.
You should know
This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
