Position Details: St. Vincent’s Medical Center is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join their Orthopaedic Surgery team! Working alongside eleven skilled Orthopaedic Advanced Practitioners (APPs), your responsibilities would include frequent first-assisting in the OR, covering the ER, consults, and floor. Role: Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Location: 2800 Main Street, Bridgeport, 06606 Setting: Inpatient, orthopaedic surgery Schedule: Full-time, three 13-hour shifts. In consultation with the physician(s) and care team members, Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants develop plans for further evaluation of health needs, e.g., referral to other health team members or specialists. Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants provide appropriate treatment for problems within the scope of the provider’s practice as designated by protocols and identifies problems outside of their scope of practice and refers appropriately to physician.
