As a Business Program Management Intern, you will identify, define, and design opportunities to support and/or develop new programs or improve current programs. You will advocate for and demonstrate the value of the program through clearly defined metrics in order to gain buy in from stakeholders, partners and customers. You will monitor programs to ensure all activities align with program objectives and ensures program processes are executed efficiently including change management and/or program improvement efforts.

Responsibilities

Contributes to standard projects including the project plan, timelines, milestones, financial management, performance metrics, and/or resource needs for programs. Communicates the program status to relevant stakeholders and holds them accountable for following the established schedule, risk mitigation plans and processes, with oversight from others.

Assists in conducting cost-benefit analyses to examine performance to value drivers (e.g., profit and loss [P&L], return on investment [ROI]). Helps others who drive monthly business review (MBR) and helps run rhythms regularly to identify what is working and what is not.

Helps evangelize programs to stakeholders, partners, and customers to gain buy in. Leverages data and performance metrics (e.g., Objectives and Key Results [OKRs] and Key Performance Indicators [KPIs]) to demonstrate the value of the program and show business impact, with oversight from others. Demonstrates the skills needed to adapt communication style and storytelling strategy according to audience and business needs.

Learns how to define and track the success criteria and performance metrics (e.g., Objectives and Key Results [OKRs] and Key Performance Indicators [KPIs]), such as quality, adoption, usage, impact, and effectiveness for the program.

Assists others working with cross-functional (e.g., organizational, product, business) stakeholders (e.g., Engineering) to design programs from initiation to delivery.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field OR equivalent experience.

Must have at least 1 semester/term remaining following the completion of the internship.

Other Requirements:

Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of U.S citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States government agency customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport.

This role will require access to information that is controlled for export under U.S. export control regulations, potentially under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations or the Export Administration Regulations. As a condition of employment, the successful candidate will be required to provide proof of citizenship, for assessment of eligibility to access the export-controlled information. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport.

Cloud Screening: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

The base pay range for this internship is USD $4,460 - $7,990 per month. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $5,970 - $8,960 per month.
