Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine ONMM

Cleveland Clinic South Pointe Hospital is seeking an ONMM board certified/eligible physician to join our ONMM team as part of the Department of Wellness and Preventive Medicine. Our diverse team of collaborative, creative and experienced ONMM specialists emphasizes a whole person approach for our patients journey to optimal physical, emotional, social and spiritual health. We use and teach a broad range of OMT techniques. Our faculty are certified in multiple other modalities, including acupuncture and frequency specific microcurrent as a part of complete patient care. The position has a significant outpatient clinic responsibility of seeing patients in addition to teaching responsibilities.

The ONMM team is an integral part of the Department of Wellness and Preventive Medicine in the Primary Care Institute at Cleveland Clinic. The Department's mission is to be a catalyst and strategic partner across the global Cleveland Clinic Enterprise to advance patient, caregiver, community, and organizational wellness. Required qualifications:

DO or MD with AOBNMM or equivalent ONMM board certification or board eligibility

Basic cranial course certification from SCTF or OCA or equivalent AOBNMM approved course

Unrestricted active medical license and DEA certificate in Ohio

Practice experience treating a diverse patient population with OMT (OB, pediatrics, adults)

Previous clinical research experience preferred

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide ONMM consultation for inpatient service and outpatient clinic

Lead didactic sessions for our ONMM3 residency program

Precept residents in our ONMM3 residency program

Participate in the planning and delivery of curriculum for osteopathic recognition of our four companion residency programs at South Pointe Hospital (Anesthesiology, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, and Orthopedic Surgery)

Assist in the interview process for prospective incoming faculty and residents

Participate in recruiting efforts to extend and enhance the visibility and reputation of the ONMM department and residency at South Pointe Hospital

Engage in personal faculty development, including yearly attendance at conferences and courses

Make contributions to the advancement of knowledge and the development of osteopathic medicine through scientific research, national presentations, community service, and serving on national, state, and regional societies and committees

Compliance with professional standards and regulations including but not limited to, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety training

Passion for teaching, collaboration, scholarly activity, and service

Flexibility and adaptability to changing conditions

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
