An Academic Physician provides cutting-edge patient care, contributes to the innovative education of physicians, and participates in groundbreaking clinical research through the enrollment of patients onto clinical trials.The ideal candidate has the opportunity to contribute to ongoing trial accrual and to develop teaching initiatives with medical students, fellows, and house staff. Applicants with interests in building a busy clinical practice are encouraged to apply.Academic appointment will be commensurate with experience and housed in the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School with a resident faculty appointment at the Rutgers Cancer Institute. Physicians are among the nation's most experienced with expertise in routine, rare and complex cancers and blood disorders. Our clinical researchers lead innovative trials, with active roles in cooperative groups, as well as industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated trials.The New Jersey Pediatric Hematology Oncology Research Center of Excellence (NJ PHORCE) is a newly-formed Center of Excellence at the Rutgers Cancer Institute, created in 2021 and supported by a dedicated appropriation from the State of New Jersey.
