Purchasing Agent

Purchasing and Shipping experience required as well as experience with QuickBooks. Detail oriented individual who can work well under pressure and with their peers. Responsibilities include but not limited to: effective procurement of all assigned commodities, reducing overall costs; developing and implementing sourcing strategies; prepare inventory reports. Responsible for contacting approved vendors for quotes to negotiate and or confirm prices with buying experience within a manufacturing environment. Receives in material inventory, placing purchase orders, entering/tracking/expediting orders, and completing other duties as assigned. Review open purchase orders and maintains communications with suppliers. Assist with projects, inventory control, and new vendor products. Make occasional errand runs.
