Job Title: CDL Driver/Guardrail Crew

Job Description

The CDL Driver will be responsible for transporting equipment and materials for guardrail installation projects across multiple locations. The role involves working closely with the installation crew, ensuring timely delivery of materials, and adhering to safety regulations during travel and installation tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate company vehicles to transport guardrail materials and equipment to and from job sites.

Assist with the loading and unloading of materials and equipment.

Support the guardrail installation crew with on-site tasks as needed.

Ensure that all transported materials are securely fastened and comply with safety regulations.

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, reporting any maintenance needs.

Adhere to all DOT regulations and company policies regarding vehicle operation and safety.

Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and fuel usage.

Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.

Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment both in the vehicle and at the job site.

Requirements:

Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.

Proven experience as a CDL driver, preferably in a construction or installation environment.

Ability to operate various types of heavy-duty trucks and equipment.

Strong understanding of safety protocols and DOT regulations.

Physical stamina and the ability to handle heavy materials and equipment.

Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a team.

Flexibility to travel frequently and work varying hours as required by project schedules.

Basic mechanical skills for minor vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in outdoor labor such as construction

Familiarity with vehicle maintenance procedures and safety inspections.

Certifications related to transportation or construction safety.
