ResponsibilitiesProvide data engineering support to operations using the tools and environments specific to the unit supported. Develop new tools, code, and services, to support operations. Move, ingest, ETL, and store structured and unstructured data (gigabytes to terabytes). Work with mission partners and data scientists to determine formats and transforms best suited to meet mission needs and objectives. Work in on-premises and cloud environments.
QualificationsRequired
5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD; minimum 8 years in lieu of degree.
Experience in Python and Pyspark scripting capabilities.
Extensive experience with the ETL of structured and unstructured big data.
TS/SCI with poly.
Desired
Delivering the design and development of software applications.
Programming/coding the data layer, application layer, and the user interfaces.
Decomposing functional requirements into technical specifications and tasks.
Software development and maintenance using tools and languages such as Java, SQL, JavaScript libraries, HTML, XML, Python, Spark, etc.
Developing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
Developing and maintaining unit test scripts.
Developing APIs and web services for integration between systems and services.
Utilizing an Agile / Scrum software development lifecycle.
Experience with SecDevOps processes.
Infrastructure experience with cloud platforms (AWS, etc.).
Designing and delivering software solutions for the Sponsor.
Supporting and leading software security accreditation processes, developing required artifacts, coordinating with sponsor infosec, implementing security requirements and remediations.

Target Salary Range$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
