Position Responsibilities
:Responsibilities of a KIPP Nashville Bus Monitor include, but are not limited to:Meet and greet visitors, staff, and students with a smileEnsure all students are seated, silent, and respectful throughout bus ridesCommunicate disciplinary issues to the Dean of StudentsBuild positive and meaningful relationships with students and staffSupport the bus driver as directedPerform other related duties as required or assignedPartial Listing of Minimum Qualifications:Holds successful experience with working with elementary and/or middle school aged childrenDemonstrates a mature, calm and responsible attitude in dealing with the students, and has the ability to work cooperatively with other employees and the general publicHas considerable ability to communicate effectively (both orally and written), and to follow both oral and written instructionsQualifications

Expectations of KIPP Nashville bus drivers and support staff:Arrive at school by 5: 30 a.m. for the morning routeArrive at school by 2:30 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. (depending on location) for the afternoon routeRide the morning and afternoon routes Monday-Friday.Supervision:Work is performed under the continuing supervision of the Director of Transportation.Additional Information
