Responsibilities
Analyzing and evaluating onsite performance from multiple traffic sources, with a heavy emphasis on organic search, but also paid, email, etc
Ability to take a larger data set to a granular level, with focus on audience targeting and alignment of the customer’s journey
Similarly, the ability to go beyond the surface level into deeper analysis and rigor of key drivers of performance
Providing opportunity analysis gaps including audience drivers and competitive research to identify strategic decisions on creative, site optimizations, and testing
Familiarity with Google Analytics, Looker, and other data tools with the ability to build reporting dashboards to consistently track and report onsite performance
Can work in a fast-paced environment to deliver reporting needs ad hoc or on a moment’s notice
Being proactive in recommendations and execution on data optimizations that help drive results including (launching tests, segmenting traffic, etc)
Can align and work closely with SEO, creative, web development and product teams to develop key data-oriented testing plans and improvements
Following-through on test launches to ensure seamless deploys and QA
Ability to interpret data needs into a Building, executing, and communicating detailed roadmap with clear goals of success and P&L impact
Can run team-based training sessions about overall usage and best practices for various data toolsets, including but not limited to Google Analytics, Looker, Google Search Console, and more
Requirements
2+ years as a data or web analyst or similar experience
Understanding of the digital landscape and traffic acquisition sources, including direct, SEO, social, email, and more
Comfortable using Google Analytics and other similar data platforms such as Looker. Has experience using SEO oriented tools including but not limited to Google Search Console, Google Trends, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and more
Ability to effectively identify traffic trends and can easily speak about performance, including what’s working, what’s not and why
Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt to their audience. They should also be able to stay up to date on digital trends and changes in the digital industry, including search engine algorithm shifts, reporting bugs, improvements and more.
Is proactive and can identify opportunities and areas of improvement, for both insights and how we capture data
Good understanding of conversion funnel and customer acquisition from search intent to conversion; including how to optimize the funnel for growth
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data manipulation
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS
Desirable Qualities
Previous experience working for (or within) a gambling company
Strong, existing media relationships with content, SEO, product and development teams.
Basic understanding of SEO and function principles of search engines
