Information System Security Officer (ISSO)
Join BlueHalo as an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) in support of the Joint Navigation Warfare Center (JNWC) contract. You'll be integral to empowering the Department of Defense’s navigation warfare (NAVWAR) mission, ensuring superiority in positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT). Your expertise will help provide combatant commanders with critical knowledge on friendly and enemy NAVWAR operations.Key Responsibilities:Perform ISSO duties as outlined in DODI 8500.01 and DODI 8510.01, maintaining operational security across multiple security domains.Ensure compliance with Intelligence Community, DoD, and Air Force/Space Force cybersecurity regulations for information systems.Develop, review, and validate self-testing results to meet security requirements for various information systems, including Cloud and Tactical solutions.Conduct validation steps to identify impacts and risks, resolving issues prior to formal security testing.Maintain current cybersecurity documentation and prepare Risk Management Framework (RMF) accreditation packages using tools like eMASS or XACTA.Prepare and maintain security plans, instructions, and SOPs for system security.May require CONUS/OCONUS travel and shift work for operations, exercises, and conferences.Qualifications:Eligible and willing to obtain a TS/SCI level clearance.10 years of relevant Information Security experience.Extensive knowledge of DoD Information Assurance (IA) regulations and procedures.BA/BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.Information Assurance Manager (IAM) Level III certification.Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent certification.
