We’re working with a Central Ohio fast-growing company to identify an
Sr. Network Engineer . The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.Responsibilities:Design, configure, and deploy network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks, based on business requirements and industry best practices.Proactively monitor network performance, identify issues, and resolve network-related problems in a timely manner. Implement appropriate troubleshooting techniques to minimize network downtime and ensure optimal performance.Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access control policies, to protect the organization's data and infrastructure from unauthorized access and cyber threats.Conduct regular performance analysis, capacity planning, and network optimization activities to ensure efficient and reliable network operations. Recommend and implement network upgrades or enhancements as needed.Plan and execute network upgrades, expansions, and migrations, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and internal teams to implement changes seamlessly.Develop and enforce network policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with security regulations, industry best practices, and internal guidelines.Provide technical guidance and support to end-users, IT teams, and stakeholders on network-related matters. Conduct training sessions and create user guides to promote network awareness and best practices.Qualifications:5+ years of experience as an IT Network Engineer, with a strong understanding of network design, implementation, and troubleshooting.In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, VPN, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF).Experience with network monitoring tools and performance analysis techniques to identify and resolve network issues.Familiarity with network security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, VPNs, and access control policies.Proficiency in configuring and managing network equipment, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless controllers.Strong knowledge of network virtualization technologies, such as VLANs, VRFs, and virtual switches.
