We deliver internal security services that support Amazon businesses including Amazon.com, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Twitch, Whole Foods, Kuiper, and many more. We develop Amazon's internal security services for identity management, permissions management, access control, authorization, and authentication. Our services are used company-wide to ensure that Amazon services have a strong security foundation.We are looking for software professionals from diverse backgrounds, who are creative problem solvers, and passionate about delivering solutions that improve both user experience and security. Our services underpin many cloud technologies, so we carefully consider our technology decisions, dependency trees, and architectures to ensure that the company’s critical services can depend on us. We use DevOps, so our teams are responsible for the full software lifecycle. As a Software Development Manager, it starts with building a high performing team. You are responsible for the software architecture, development, operations, and strategic direction of the team. A typical day on our team involves working with users to design new security features, prototyping and demonstrating features to your users, deploying software through our large automated systems, and operationally supporting newly deployed software. The team looks for radical new approaches to automate fixes for operational issues, works with AWS services to solve design problems, and interacts with AWS teams to integrate applications.About the team

3+ years of engineering team management experience7+ years of engineering experience8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services experienceKnowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operationsExperience partnering with product or program management teamsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
