Position Overview
MetroPlus Health
is seeking an IT Business Analyst to join our team. We are looking for a professional with experience in healthcare business systems and analysis. The successful applicant will serve as the liaison between the executive/business areas and the IT department of MHP, leveraging the tools and processes developed and managed by the IT department, while analyzing and suggesting enhancements to technical systems, processes, and business models. The ideal candidate for this position is responsible, an excellent communicator, self-starting, detail-oriented, and highly innovative. He or she will be responsible for translating business needs to IT solutions, and vice versa, with current and future programs, projects, and initiatives in mind.
Job Description
Work with process owners, stewards, and users to determine and gather business requirements
Assist business units in documenting user guides and manuals
Assist in facilitating digital transformation by translating processes to drive change management
Translate complex business processes into language that developers can understand, as well as translating IT’s technical processes and needs into language that business stakeholders can appreciate
Generate and maintain required documentation
Act as liaison between IT and other business units
Act as an information source and communicator between business branches
Understand strategic business needs and plans for growth
Analyze the design of technical systems and business models
Analyze business needs
Participate in sourcing and implementing new business technology
Find technological solutions to business requirements
Produce reports on application development and implementation as required
Analyze data to inform business decisions
Work with other teams as required
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical discipline and;
4 years of directly related experience in business analysis/process analysis
Or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, and work experience
