Houston, Texas .Key Responsibilities:Provide technical data management support to BUs and Drilling, Completions, and Well Servicing/Production Functions.Collaborate with Corporate Data Management in the development, implementation, and support of best practices for technical data management (Subsurface, Operations and Master Data).Lead implementation of Corporate Data Management guidelines, policies, procedures, and standards globally and ensure continuity of data across all Business Units.Communicate Corporate Data Management vision and strategy to Business Unit technical teams and leadership to ensure alignment.Monitor EDM and other data sources for acceptable levels of completeness, validity, and accuracy of technical data, and identify appropriate remediation processes for erroneous datasets.Proactively assess the EDM governance model and make recommendations to drive long-term improvement and sustainment of data quality and integrity in the two systems.Ensure critical well servicing data is correctly integrated with other company systems.Liaise with IT to assess and test new drilling, completions, and well servicing data management technologies.Keep abreast of industry trends in the space of drilling, completions, and well servicing data management.Utilize expertise in defining a governance model to drive long-term sustainability of data quality.Lead and champion Corporate Data Management projects to complete on time and on budget.Seek out best drilling, completions, and well servicing data and migrate it to the system of record.Develop and maintain data validations to ensure the data is trusted and at its highest value.Monitor data management service portal to correct incidents and complete tasks assigned to the Data Management Team.Engage with cross-functional teams, including geoscientists, engineers, and operations personnel. Understand their data needs, challenges, and pain points, and proactively address them.Regularly assess data management processes, tools, and technologies. Identify areas for improvement and drive continuous enhancements to data quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Geoscience, Computer Science, or related field.Minimum 5 years of experience.Proficient managing, loading, and validating drilling, completions, and well servicing data.Experience in a D&C reporting application such as Landmark EDM, Weatherford WSM and associated applications.Proficient in leading and delivering technical data management projects.Exceptional skills querying and analyzing data in Oracle and SQL Server databases using Structured Query Language (SQL).Proficient in using Python to perform fundamental data engineering tasks.Strong knowledge of Office 365 including Power Apps and Power Automate.Experience developing dashboards with Power BI or Spotfire.Familiarity with OSDU implementation.One or more AWS certifications.Strong knowledge of developing and supporting Operational Data Stores and/or Data Lakes.Understanding of fundamental data engineering with Python or SSIS.Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment.Desired Qualifications:Knowledge of technical data generated during drilling, completions, and well servicing operations, and common industry methodologies, tools, standards, and processes used to receive, validate and manage these types of data.Thorough understanding of operational reporting applications, subsurface and operational data, and databases.Experience implementing and supporting OSDU initiatives.Thorough understanding of SQL and hierarchical databases (Oracle and SQL Server).Working knowledge of wellbore schematics including tubulars, packers, plugs, and perforations.Good working knowledge of the various artificial lift types (ESP, Rods, PCP, Gas-Lift).Expertise with the Landmark Compass, Profile, OpenWells applications, Landmark EDM database, and Weatherford WSM highly desirable.Experience defining technical data naming and dataflow standards, policies, and procedures.Good working knowledge of master data management concepts used with oil and gas technical data.Experience using MS Office365 application suite.Relocation
