Responsible for technical content and completeness of engineering documentation on assignments. Assignments may include simultaneous projects and direction of support staff.Produce designs for engineering requirementsAssure complete documentation of engineering requirementsPrepare and adhere to budgeted hours for projectEstimate, monitor and control construction costsCoordinate engineering requirements with architecture and other engineering disciplinesAssure timely and appropriate processing of contractor submittalsMaintain project files and calculations for assigned projectsAssure quality and completeness of the engineering designPerform and/or supervise on site condition surveysAssess project staffing needs and schedule observanceMonitor conformance to project scope and document deviations at the time of discoveryPrepare technical reportsParticipate in client meetings regarding engineering systemsMentor staff; May provide supervision to other engineering team members on a projectQualifications
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalentRegistered Professional Engineer7+ years experienceHighly proficient in BIMMaintain technical competence by staying current on appropriate codes and technologiesProficient in the use of state-of-the-art tools for engineering design and documentationThorough understanding of the engineering systems within a specific disciplineThorough understanding of advanced engineering principles and calculationsGeneral understanding of engineering principles and systems within other disciplinesExpertise in area of concentrationEffective communication skills (written and oral)Demonstrated thoroughness in design coordination and contract document development in area of concentrationDemonstrated record of consistent quality work
