Position SummaryThe eDiscovery Analyst supports the eDiscovery needs of the eDiscovery department and the firm’s case teams and will help with day-to-day technical tasks that are completed on time and within specifications. Under the leadership of the Director of eDiscovery and Paralegal Services, the eDiscovery Analyst will work within an innovative and highly motivated team environment. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, daily work and support within eDiscovery applications such as Relativity, loading of data into Relativity, running productions in Relativity, data analysis in Excel, and general eDiscovery related tasks.Essential FunctionsInterpret instructions in order to accurately and efficiently complete tasks in a timely manner while being able to fluctuate and readjust priorities as they shift or become necessary.Obtain, examine, and prepare client data for processing which may include setting up FTP access, downloading and copying data as well as normalizing and verifying data.Process and load data utilizing Relativity Desktop client and/or other industry leading processing tools, as well as ensuring processing exceptions are resolved.Able to edit (with text editors) and load delimited files and/or load ready data sets into Relativity and other E-Discovery tools.Create and maintain workspaces, databases, and user access; report on active/inactive data storage and user license utilization.Troubleshoot and resolve technical concerns regarding user interfacing and back-end databases, particularly Relativity.Monitor and communicate with Project Managers on processing and data handling progress, milestones and problems that may arise.Prepare electronic document productions, including technical QC, adherence to production requirements and production.Maintain project documentation, files, data inventory and data disposition in project management database.Complete and track database closings, including near lining, archiving and/or deletion of workspaces and associated raw/native data.RequirementsEducation:Bachelor's degree is preferred, however a combination of relevant experience with an Associate’s degree or relevant technical certification(s) may be considered.Experience:Helpdesk experience a plus.Law Firm experience a plus.SkillsStrong written and verbal communication skills.Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.Knowledge of text editors such as NotePad++, Ultra Edit, TextPad and others.Understanding of Relativity.Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.Basic eDiscovery process knowledge.Self-starter and highly motivated individual.
