Engineering Manager , the
Project Engineer
is responsible for projects related to industrial furnaces, steel, aluminum, and strip processing manufacturers.RequirementsEssential Duties, Responsibilities and Key Result ItemsReview technical requirements of sales contract.Communicate required scope with engineering department.Monitor engineering progress for technical requirements and schedule.Approve and release final design packages to logistics.Track progress on procurement and manufacturing.Final inspections of equipment.Support customer through installation and commissioning.Approximately 25% domestic/international travel is required including potential for longer duration travel associated with startup/commissioning duties. Must be physically capable to perform required activities associated with onsite work.TechnologyExperience designing with CAD software such as Solid Edge and AutoCAD.Must be proficient with Microsoft office products.Customer Focus.Ownership for Performance.Shared Commitment.Job Specific CompetenciesProblem solving skills with the ability to become hands-on involved when needed.Strong communication, organizing, planning, and interpersonal skills.Capable of working in a team environment.Education and ExperienceBS degree in Mechanical Engineering.EIT or PE certification a plus.Minimum of 10 years’ experience in design, project engineering and start-up of similar equipment.Experience with coil processing and finishing line equipment in the steel and aluminum industries.Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic systems, and mechanical design required.Physical RequirementsAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or disability.
