The company has 27 operating mines and processing facilities and two additional exploration stage properties across the United States and is headquartered in Katy, Texas.The Senior Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Lead will be responsible for developing and implementing RPA solutions to optimize and automate business processes, increase efficiency, and reduce costs. Objectives of the role include automating repetitive business processing tasks, improving data processing accuracy and speed, and realizing opportunities for scale. This position will divide attention approximately 40% to projects, 40% to support activities, and 20% to continuous improvement.Essential Job Functions:Analyze, design, develop, test, and implement RPA solutions using industry-leading RPA tools like UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, etc.Collaborate with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify and prioritize automation opportunities.Develop and maintain RPA code and scripts using software development best practices.Balance attention between competing priorities, sometimes working on multiple assignments.Create process documentation, including process flowcharts, functional and technical specifications, test cases, and training material for RPA solutions.Ensure proper requirements detail, coverage, and stakeholder engagement is maintained.Provide support and troubleshooting for production RPA solutions.Ensure RPA solutions comply with security and data privacy policies.Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior RPA developers and other team members.Establish RPA governance and best practices.Collaborate with others as part of a larger IT team in coordinated team efforts.Continuously monitor and optimize RPA solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.Contribute to the organization with process improvement ideas and recommendations.Stay up to date with the latest RPA technologies, techniques, and best practices.Provide on-time delivery of regularly scheduled tasks, projects, and service desk assistance requests.Perform other related duties as assigned to meet business needs.Required Education, Experience, and Skills:Bachelors' Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.Five or more years of experience developing RPA solutions using UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, or other RPA tools.Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or .NET.Experience with database management, SQL, and data modeling.Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies and software development life cycle (SDLC).Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Aware and respectful of U.S. Silica and customer work environment safety rules and regulations.Unwavering attention to detail and having an analytical mindset are key.Flexible with schedule to accommodate peaks and valleys in workload, including special projects.Strong drive for results & excellent problem-solving skills.Creativity – must have the capacity to think beyond standard operating procedures and suggest alternate workflows, must be able to look beyond the obvious; bring new innovative solutions to match system options with best business practices.Self-motivated and ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks.Natural tendency to investigate and question.Retain flexibility to respond ad hoc to projects or duties as needed.Possess the ability to effectively organize work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Interact professionally with other employees, customers, and vendors.Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.Commitment to company values.Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:Two or more years experience in the Mining and/or Mineral industry a plus.Experience with Salesforce workflow automation, ServiceNow workflow automation, and Power Automate.Certification in RPA tools.Experience leading a team.
