Sr Software Engineer @ Longmont, COTerms of Hire: Full Time.Salary: $ Open K/ YR + Benefits.Job SummaryThe Sr Software Engineer is responsible for the complex design and development of enhancements, integrations and new functionality for our voice routing products that route 9-1-1 calls. Performs efficient analysis and thinks proactively to ensure full functionality. May lead or coordinate implementation and testing project plans for new technology and enhancements. Determines design requirements, ensures efficiency, and offers improvement suggestions. Participates in PI Planning and quarterly release updates.Day to day responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Analyze and review functional and performance requirements to support design architecture, providing alternative architectural solutions as necessaryEnsure a thorough understanding of entire application, its usage, technical architecture, and functionality by project team, end user and managementContinually keep up-to-date on new products, development tools, industry trends, and methodologies for incorporation into software platformsParticipate in activities throughout the entire software development life cycle providing consultative advice and direction to development teamMay code program based on system enhancements, modification requests, or new design specificationsLead and participate in the activities involved in developing a comprehensive and logical test plan for systems using appropriate tools to ensure established standards are utilizedOther duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsEducation
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS or a related field required, however equivalent working experience may be substituted for educational experienceExperience and Skills
5+ years of software engineering experience with Mission-critical application design and development, five 9's reliabilityExperience with Java 8 or newer and C development languges required on Linux platformsWeb development (Spring MVC framework, Servlets, Javascript)Web-based protocols and services (HTTP, SOAP, REST)Experience with modern CI/CD pipeline tools - Ansible, Artifactory, Maven Git, Jenkins, Eclipse IDE and JiraExperience working in an Agile development environment, SAFe preferredWhat are the 3-4 non-negotiable requirements of this position?
5+ years of software engineering experience with Mission-critical application design and development, five 9's reliability • Experience with Java 8 or newer and C development languges required on Linux platforms • Web development (Spring MVC framework, Servlets, Javascript) • Web-based protocols and services (HTTP, SOAP, REST) • Experience with modern CI/CD pipeline tools - Ansible, Artifactory, Maven Git, Jenkins, Eclipse IDE and JiraWhat are the nice-to-have skills?
Experience working in an Agile development environment, SAFe preferred
