We are looking for a talented and experienced Software Developer experienced in the Kubernetes ecosystem to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cloud computing technologies, as well as experience with developing and maintaining large-scale distributed systems.The position will involve designing, developing and maintaining software tools and components that leverage Kubernetes, Cluster API, and Operator patterns to automate and manage Kubernetes clusters. Your work will enable the organization to deploy and operate Kubernetes clusters efficiently and reliably across various cloud and on-premises environments. Cluster Provisioning:

Implement automation workflows for provisioning and scaling Kubernetes clusters on different cloud providers or on-premises infrastructure.Monitoring and Maintenance:

Develop tools and processes for monitoring cluster health and automating routine maintenance tasks to ensure cluster reliability and performance.Security:

Implement security best practices and controls in the management of Kubernetes clusters, including RBAC, network policies, and encryption.Collaboration:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, SREs, and Infrastructure teams, to ensure seamless integration of Kubernetes clusters into the organization's infrastructure.Troubleshooting:

Investigate and resolve issues related to cluster deployments, scaling, and management in a timely manner.Community Involvement:

Engage with the Kubernetes and Cluster API communities, contribute to open-source projects, and stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies.Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on backend development and Kubernetes and container technologiesStrong understanding of cloud computing technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud PlatformExperience with developing and maintaining large-scale distributed systemsExperience with object-oriented programming languages, such as Java, Python, or GoExperience with testing and debugging softwareExperience with Azure Stack, Google Anthos and similar edge deployment mechanisms is preferredThis will be a hybrid role that requires 3 days a week in our Bellevue office.We are an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
