SAP-PDM Master Data Analyst
is a central, shared resource to all USA-based Engineering groups within the Bosch Communications Systems (BT-CO) Business Unit. The primary purpose to this position is in supporting SAP-PDM Material Master Data / Bills of Materials (BoM) / Document creation, Engineering Change control, revision control and maintenance activities. This position also supports SAP-PDM data inquiries and cleansing activities, as requested by the Business Unit (BU) functions or Division-level groups.In supporting the Engineering community, this position must actively interface and collaborate with various departments; including Product Management, Finance, Planning, Purchasing, Logistics, Service, Central Material Data Maintenance (CMDM) teams and others as needed in the completion of assigned tasks.Essential Functions:80%
= Support the creation and maintenance of Bosch product master data and Engineering documentation in all relevant business systems.Collaborate with Engineers and other business roles to ensure accuracy and completeness of all implemented data and released documentation.Generate queries and reports of Master Data and Documentation based on internal customer requests.Regularly perform data cleansing tasks as requested by different business functions.10%
= Train new system users on the correct way of working with SAP-PDM, MDT (Master Data Tool workflow), and the Engineering Change Request workflow system, based on each user’s business role.Maintain and continuously improve user training documentation and department procedures in conformance with an ISO-regulated environment.10%
= Complete other projects / tasks as directed by Manager.QualificationsMinimum (5) years of experience in Engineering master data / BoM / documentation creation and maintenance in an ERP/MRP/PLM software environment, directly supporting an engineering / manufacturing community.Associate (AS) Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or Technical discipline is preferred.Equivalent, relevant work experience in direct support of Engineering / Manufacturing environments is preferred.Must have strong attention to detail and be well organized.Ability to communicate accurate information and exchange ideas cross-functionally.Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time.Constantly uses or operates a computer and other office equipment.Occasionally exposed to business travel destinations that may be in a manufacturing environment where the associate is briefly exposed to machinery, no machinery use is expected or authorized for this position.On a rare occasion (less than 10% travel required), there may be a need to visit another company location, which would consist of either domestic or international travel to office / manufacturing facilities.Additional InformationIndefinite U.S. work authorized individuals only.
