The pay range is $85,500.00 - $153,900.00Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and in some instances may include education, work experience, and certifications. Learn more about Target here .The Endpoint Security team is looking for a motivated Senior Engineer to join us in developing the tools that keep Target’s endpoints secure. As a member of this high performing team, you’ll use Agile and DevOps delivery methods to improve the security of our endpoints. Our team is focused on innovation, fast problem-solving, and a culture of inclusion.As a Senior Engineer on Target’s Endpoint Security team, you will:Develop and enhance products that keep our endpoints secureUse scripting languages, open-source tools, and vendor products to build robust, well-tested, automated, and scalable security controlsLead the evaluation, testing, design, and implementation of endpoint security toolsSupport and maintain products that secure hundreds of thousands of endpointsTest endpoint security tool capabilities against threats in lab environmentsResearch and improve upon industry best practicesWork closely with partner teamsMentor engineers and improve engineering practicesCore responsibilities are described within this job description. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.About You4-year degree in computer science or equivalent experienceDesigns, implements, and supports open source and vendor security tools such as Next-Gen Antivirus (NGAV), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), and security logging pipelines.Builds automated test and deploy pipelines for endpoint security tools (CI/CD)Experience with infrastructure automation and orchestration tools such as Ansible, Kubernetes, Chef, managed public cloud equivalents, etc.Builds and manages IT infrastructure and supporting applications, such as Linux servers, client operating systems, ELK, Telegraf, Docker, etc.Hands-on experience with a scripting language such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.A desire to build subject matter expertise in threat detection, prevention, and responseA passion for learning how to test endpoint security tools against attack frameworks, living off the land techniques, and malwareExperience leveraging PostgreSQL or other relational databasesDesigns new testing methods and resolves routine and non-routine technical issues with minimal assistanceCollaborative mindset centered on team goalsSelf-starter with strong problem-solving skills and sense of ownershipStays current with new and evolving technologies via formal training and self-directed educationThis position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team, and tasks require for that day.
