Baxter & Woodman works with municipal clients on projects of all sizes, putting the client and the solution first – solving problems for people. Come start your career and join our team!What your day-to-day will look like, what you will learn on the jobDesign of municipal water distribution systems, wastewater collections systems, and storm sewers (including pipelines, pumping stations, meters, and structures).Design of underground infrastructure rehabilitation using Trenchless Technologies.Field work associated with Sanitary Sewer Evaluation Surveys (SSES), Fire Flow Testing, and Part-time Construction Observation.Water and Sewer Hydraulic Modeling and Master Planning.Permitting with local, state and federal permitting agencies.Assistance with Rate Studies, Funding Applications, GIS mapping, and large multidisciplinary projects (WW treatment plant and transportation projects).Education Requirement4-year B.S. degree in Civil Engineering.Must-haves, what you will bringInternship or Co-op experience preferred in Consulting Engineering, Public Works, or Construction.Minimum grade point average of 3.0/4.0.Knowledge of basic principles of hydraulics, water distribution, and wastewater collection systems.Experience with AutoCAD.Ability to travel throughout the Chicago area (own transportation).Strong verbal, computer, organizational, and writing skills.Ability to work in a team environment on a variety of projects.Preferred QualificationsEmphasis in environmental engineering.Compensation : The pay range for this role is $72,000 to $75,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.You matter!
