About The Team

STR’s Analytics Division develops novel solutions to the most challenging national security problems through advanced analytics. Our teams consist of motivated individuals with degrees in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, and data science. We employ experienced managers who have led large, complex teams in delivering software solutions to some of the Defense Department’s greatest challenges and have extensive knowledge of the various combat domains. The Role:

As a DevOps Engineer, you will work as part of tightly knit Agile software teams to design and implement Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines utilizing GitLab or other CI/CD systems. These include:

Supporting Amazon Web Services (AWS) toolsets in an unclassified environmentMaintaining multiple CI/CD environments at multiple classification levels where AWS is not availableConfiguring CI/CD environments for application performance, security monitoring, and alertingActing as a point person with the corporate STR IT organization to ensure that infrastructure toolsets are configured, maintained, reliable, and in compliance with Department of Defense standardsAdvocating for and educating software engineers on DevOps fundamentals while helping to implement professional, commercial software development processes

Who You Are:

BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical fieldExperience with all relevant technologies including:CI/CD tools and pipeline automationCloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), and automated provisioning tools (such as Ansible, Chef, TerraForm)Containerization technologies such as Docker and PodmanOrganized, detail-oriented, and with an ability to work both independently and collaborativelyDemonstrated experience as an effective communicator to both technical and non-technical audiencesThis position requires the ability to obtain a security clearance, for which US citizenship is needed by the US Government

Even Better:Active Security Clearance at the Secret or Top Secret (TS) levelMS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical fieldExperience in:Full web-service stack, including databases, logging, and monitoringProject tracking tools such as JiraDeploying and maintaining artifact repositories (such as Nexus, Artifactory)Deploying and configuring static and dynamic code analysis tools (such as SonarQube, Coverity)Kubernetes management solutions such as EKS and Rancher, along with deploying and monitoring Kubernetes clusters and pod configurationsFamiliarity with Agile/SCRUM software development frameworksSecurity+ Certification
